How it started |
| The museum was started c1991 by a group of amateurs, keen to preserve any material relating to the history of Soho.Initially, it was hoped that a traditional museum could be established, but we have gradually come round to the idea that a 'virtual' museum would actually be more feasible.
We now have a large, interactive Touch-screen situated in Sherwood St (Opp The Piccadilly Theatre)Where you can access Galleries, Photographs and Articles about Soho from the street. Our main objectives, are:
• to create a safe haven for any artefacts, documents, etc. relating to Soho
• to ensure that these items are recorded professionally
• to create a database and locations guide for the whole collection
• to investigate digital media for future development of the museum |

Mosoho is always looking for volunteers, so if you have a skill or free time that you can give, drop us a line by going to the contact panel below and e-mail or write. We are also interested in your memories, memoribilia, photographs, film etc. relating to Soho.
At the Museum of Soho you will be able to share this extraordinary place with the rest of the World.....
We do rely on your contributions
and over time this site will grow, it is open-ended and eventually we will have a searchable database open to you. |
